Reflecting on 2025 with the Wheel of Life

As we move out of 2025, it’s tempting to rush ahead into goal-setting for the new year. A holistic coaching approach invites something different first: pause, reflection, and integration. Before we decide where we’re going, it helps to acknowledge where we’ve been.
The Wheel of Life is a powerful, simple tool for doing just that.
The Wheel of Life is a visual reflection tool used in coaching to explore different areas of well-being, such as:
Physical health
Emotional and mental well-being
Relationships
Career or purpose
Finances
Spiritual life
Personal growth
Fun, play, or creativity
Each area is rated from 0–10 based on your level of satisfaction over the past year. When you connect the scores, you get a visual “wheel” that shows balance, energy flow, and where attention may be needed.
From a holistic perspective, the goal isn’t to create a perfect wheel - it’s to build awareness with compassion.
Begin by rating each area honestly, based on how it felt for most of the year, not just how it ended.
Then gently ask yourself:
What did I learn in this area in 2025?
Where did I grow, even if it was uncomfortable?
What required more care or attention?
Instead of labeling areas as “good” or “bad,” approach them as sources of information. Lower scores often point to seasons of learning, boundary-setting, or deep internal work.
Holistic reflection isn’t about self-criticism - it’s about honoring effort and resilience.
As you review your Wheel, consider:
What am I most proud of in 2025?
What did I survive, release, or soften around?
What wants to be carried forward - and what can be left behind?
This kind of acknowledgment creates a grounded foundation for whatever comes next.
With this insight and awareness, kiss 2025 goodbye... and see you in the New Year!
